SBB wind measurement towers are fast mounting modular guyed structures. They are made of aluminum alloy, require no maintenance and their life span is estimated at 50 years.

They were designed to allow safe and fast climbing, therefore reducing the time required when maintaining or replacing damaged instruments. They are very robust and can be installed on any type of terrain: rocks, uneven grounds, remote sites and any other sites with difficult access.

SBB met masts are mainly used in the following scenarios

Temporary mast for prospection

Permanent mast for data verification

The towers' modular design and lightweight allow unlimited quick installations and dismantlements. They can easily be installed temporarily to measure the wind in various locations on a potential wind site.

SBB masts are very resistant to extreme climate conditions. They can be installed permanently to verify and confirm wind speed on wind site already in operation.

SBB complies with the design criteria and parameters of Canadian Standard CSA S37-13 and IEC 61400-12-1:2005.
